Relax. Unwind. Breathe.
Our Sauna is a wood-fired sauna set within the grounds of Hendre Hall, overlooking Cardigan Bay with views towards Yr Wyddfa. Sessions are mixed, with up to six guests per 50-minute block (including changing time). Warm coin-operated showers are available on site, along with a complimentary cold shower for cooling off.
Feeling adventurous? Arrive early for a beach walk or cold water swim before you heat up. Open Thursday–Sunday in low season, with extended days during summer.
Due to health and safety and insurance regulations, under 16s are not allowed in the sauna.
Bring swimwear and two towels (one for sitting in the sauna and one to dry yourself afterwards), a water bottle and sandals/sliders/flip flops if you have them.
Maybe. The sauna is a mixed space with up to 6 people in any session, so unless you book all 6 spaces, we can't guarantee exclusive use.
Standard bookings are 50 minutes.
Clothing is compulsory in the sauna, so please bring your swimwear.
As well as our sauna and cold water shower, we have a shower block for you to use / get changed, toilets, the coffee shop and bar will also be open for refreshments afterwards if you wish.
If you cannot make your session we kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice allowing us to offer your booking to another guest and a full refund will be given. If you inform us 24 hours in advance we will provide sauna credits. Any cancellations less than 24 hours before your booking are non-refundable.
Saunas are amazing for your body, but only when you do them right. To ensure you stay safe in the sauna, we recommend you limit yourself to a maximum of 15-20 minutes per sauna visit. It goes without saying, but no smoking in the sauna room, and please note due to its dehydrating factors, alcohol is strictly forbidden.
If you experience any nausea, dizziness, hot flushes, cold chills, headaches or other discomfort please leave the sauna immediately. Drink plenty of fluids before and after leaving the sauna
